May All Your Strikes Be Hard And Fast
Ice Fishing
Tried to get in one last day here in NJ on a shallow lake today and was greeted by ice. Tha lake only averages 6 ft and was iced in already. Decided to try another lake a couple of miles away and only half the lake was frozen. Launched and within 20 minutes the wind kicked up and 38deg water and wind was not bad enough the ice on the lake started mving toward the ramp. Well got off the lake drove home with a frown. time to put the boat asleep for the winter. Oh well lots of time to go thru all the tackle and start getting ready for next year.

Derik beat me to the punch with a reply, as he often does, saying what I would say. "Go South young man"! I'll be heading to Fla. soon I hope. I think I'll go bass fishing one day and TRY to find a boat to go saltwater fishing another day. Crossing my fingers.
