been busy bouncing from tourney to tourneys, so i decided to take a quick break and go back to skinner lake.
take a close look at this video, as a larger bass was following my hooked bass.
I liked the video. I had muskys do this, carp do it, pike do it, and bass do it. Bass when they are mating pairs normally do this, smallmouths are schooling fish and they also follow eachother. I had a smallie up north once trying to rip my lure out of the mouth of another smallie. I dont have many stories about the ones that get away but, I have lost my share of muskys, pike, bass, trout, salmon, and big panfish. I just keep a good drag setting on my reel, not to heavy, not to light, and I battle the fish carefully. I did lose a giant bass once that took me into the weeds. The fish looked 7+ pounds easily, it was bigger then a giant 24 incher I caught....
